As the season drew to a close, the 3rd Bilbao Cestoball Tournament was held in Elorrieta (Bilbao), Basque Country, with the Bizkaitarrak (Cestoball Section) and Elorrieta teams playing for the title.
The event was organized by the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports.
The match began intensely and at a high level, but due to complications suffered by one of the players, and in order to protect his health, it had to be stopped midway through.
The organizing committee, in agreement with the teams, declared the final result to be the score at that point, with Bizkaitarrak winning 10-8 and, of course, taking the championship title.
The next event will be the 6th Euskal Kopa in Leioa or Bilbao, scheduled for April. At the same time, player recruitment and training will continue in preparation for the 2026 European Championship and the 2027 World Championship.
-TORNEO BILBAO DE CESTOBALL 2025
Como cierre de temporada se llevó a cabo en Elorrieta (Bilbao), País Vasco, el III Torneo Bilbao de Cestoball, jugando los equipos de Bizkaitarrak (Sección Cestoball) y Elorrieta el encuentro por el título.
El evento fue organizado por la Asociación Vasca de Beach Tennis y Deportes Minoritarios.
El partido tuvo un inicio intenso y de buen nivel, pero debido a complicaciones sufridas por uno de los jugadores y con el objetivo de preservar su salud, debió ser finalizado a mitad de su desarrollo.
La comisión organizadora, de común acuerdo con los equipos, dio por resultado final el tablero parcial que se registraba hasta el momento, quedándose Bizkaitarrak con la victoria por 10-8 y por supuesto con el título de Campeón.
El próximo evento será la VI Euskal Kopa en Leioa o Bilbao, prevista para abril. Al tiempo que continuará el reclutamiento de jugadores y los entrenamientos de cara al Campeonato de Europa 2026 y el Campeonato del Mundo de 2027.
