The Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports organized the 6th edition of the Euskal Kopa de Cestoball (Basque Cestoball Cup) at the fronton in the Altamira neighborhood of Bilbao, as weather conditions prevented outdoor play.
The Bizkaitarrak and Altamira teams faced off for the title in a very close match, with direct duels and high intensity.
Bizkaitarrak emerged victorious with a score of 30-26.
The organizers announced that the 3rd Basque Beach Cestoball Tournament will be held in July in Ereaga, Getxo, and the 6th Basque Cestoball Tournament will take place in August.
They also expect more teams to participate in the Basque Cestoball tournaments for these events. On the other hand, the Basque Association continues working to secure its own representation at the 2027 World Championship.

La Asociación Vasca de Beach Tennis y Deportes Minoritarios organizó la VI edición de la Euskal Kopa de Cestoball en el frontón del barrio bilbaíno de Altamira, debido a que las condiciones climáticas no permitieron jugar al aire libre.
Los equipos de Bizkaitarrak y Altamira se enfrentaron en la disputa por el título en un encuentro muy reñido, con duelos directos y mucha intensidad.
Bizkaitarrak se quedó con el triunfo por 30 a 26.
La organización informó que en Julio se jugará el III Torneo Vasco de Cestoball Playa en Ereaga de Getxo, y en agosto se disputaría el VI Torneo Vasco de Cestoball.
Además para esas citas se espera contar con más equipos participando de los torneos vascos de Cestoball.
Por otra parte, la Asociación Vasca continúa trabajando para poder acceder con una representación propia al Campeonato del Mundo 2027.
